HOME HEALTH AIDES:

A person who assists ill, elderly, or disabled persons in the home, carrying out personal care and housekeeping tasks, and provide a friendly companionship.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least 40 hours of training, pursuant to Section 400.497(1), F.S. including: Alzheimer’s training certificate, HIV/AIDS certificate, Assistance with self-administered medication and CPR certification.

CNA (CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT):

Provides personal care to residents or clients, such as bathing, dressing, changing linens, transporting and other essential activities.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least 75 hours of training, pursuant in Section 464.203, F.S. , and a current Certified Nursing Assistant including: Alzheimer’s training certificate, HIV/AIDS certificate, Assistance with self-administered medication and CPR certification.
